As of September 30, 2020 we have removed the requirement for text verification for the BTZ Wallet, as well as the need for a PIN code in order to send BTZ. If you are receiving an error code or a prompt to update your app, please do so!
- You will still need to confirm the user you are sending to is correct, as well as the amount of BTZ you want to send before you send them
- Your BTZ wallet remains secure within your account, so long as your password isn't 'password1234'
We made this change as we found that the need for text verification became a barrier to access for new account creation for those who may not have a mobile number attached to a well-known network. This change makes BTZ more accessible to all and easier to transact with!
